# 4920 / Antique MOP French Gentleman Folder– Chatellerault, Mid to late19th Century


Very nice French gentleman folder commonly referred to as a *Chatellerault moustache*, referring to the original place where this type of knives were crafted and to the shape of the ears guard

Hand forged spare point blade made of carbon steel that remains in very nice condition, razor sharp, still pointy and in full profile.

 It has a slight play when locked opened and features a threated tab to release it from the locked open position

Wonderful mother of pearl slabs over steel liner. Very nice pink, blue and green overtones. Nickel silver bolsters and central plaquette.

Overall condition are more than excellent, almost no pitting on the steel blade

The knife measures nearly 12,5 cm long when folded and 22 cm long in fully extended position
