In 2004 we decided to open an entirely internet
based operation. With physical offices near Milan (Italy), but no storefronts,
we operate entirely online

2. OUR SERVICE PLEDGE
We strive to offer quality items with accurate
descriptions. The items we offer are of fine quality and we strive to cover
condition in detail through both our description and photos. We alert you to
any noticeable marks, dents, nicks and scratches, but it should be remembered
that these are antiques, handmade and show marks of time and imperfection.
We happily combine shipping on orders so long
as the pieces may be safely packed together

questions and shipping quote requests
3. LAYAWAY POLICY
- www.fineandmint.com offers a layaway plan for
purchases on a case by case basis only.
- The minimum order amount you allow to be placed on
layaway is 500€
- The www.fineandmint.com Return Policy does not apply
to layaway purchases.
- Layaway sales
are final with no exchange or returns
start at 30 days up to 6 months depending on the final price.
- Down payment:
20%. Down payment applies to the percentage of the order total, including
shipping and tax.
- If an item is
returned, buyer will be responsible for shipping costs both ways and a 10%
re-stocking fee will occur
payments are non-refundable. If a layaway is cancelled for any reason you will
be offered the option of paying the balance in full immediately.
- if a layaway
is arranged you must read and acknowledge these terms of sale and be committed
to the timely payment schedule. If you experience a difficulty making a payment
on time contact us via email before your payment is due so we know what to
expect, but no later than 3 days after the due date. This may result in the
layaway being cancelled. Any outstanding balances would be due immediately, no
later than 10 days past due.
* Please be sure of your ability to commit to the purchase and make
payments when due as stated in your layaway agreement.
* Layaway payments are non-refundable.
* Layaway payments are invoiced each month at or around the same date.
* Late or skipped payments 10 or more days in arrears will be considered
in default. You must contact us and update the late payments within 10 days to
avoid the layaway being cancelled. Skipped payments cannot be rolled over to
the next month.
- We understand
unexpected issues visit all of us so if you're unable to make a payment please
contact us immediately to make arrangements for payment.
If you negotiate a sale price with us it will be considered a cash sale,
no layaway unless otherwise agreed.
4. RESTOCKING FEES
We do not charge a restocking fee within the first week of purchase, we
do require immediate notification of any issues. Please do not buy to look and
return, but we will to accept your return for reasons other than damage.
If an item is returned, buyer will be responsible for
shipping costs both ways and a 10% re-stocking fee will occur. We feel that our
pictures and descriptions are accurate, if you have any questions about an
item, please email before purchasing. All items must be returned in original or
comparable packing. We will refund purchase price only after the item is
returned, and we are satisfied that it is in the same condition as when it
The only exception for full refund with shipping costs and no restocking
fee is if our description was not accurate, and we reach an agreement that the
fault was ours. Repeated ordering without completion of sale or repeated
returns will result in buyer being blocked.
Unclaimed Packages ~ Any package returned to me unattended or
non-deliverable will be returned to my shop inventory for sale. All shipping
charges plus a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
5. CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellation fee applies to the total purchase price of the item and DO
NOT include shipping/handling or sales tax, which are the responsibility of the
www.fineandmint.com doesn’t apply any cancellation fee within the first 48
hours of purchase, we do require immediate notification of any issues
After the first 48 hours a 5% cancellation fee will be applied
IMPORTANT NOTE regarding antique tortoise shell or ivory:
We are great supporters of protection for endangered species in our
modern world. We never buy or sell anything 100 years or newer and agree with
CITES that objects over 100 years of age have nothing whatsoever to do with
species depletion in our current world.
Our offering exceeds the age limitation of "more than 100 years of
age", and is well within the exemption for CITES regulation
