Murano Glass Vase with round rim and bulbous shape.

Hand blown in coloured glass in hues of blue and red which has been battuto throughout. Composed of a core of cobalt blue clear glass, the outer layer is the *roll up* of pre fused canes. The heave carving called *battuto* complete this beautiful expertly crafted vase wihci is signed and numbered 1/1 at the base.

Signature: engraved at the bottom *Schiavon Murano 1/1*.

Dimensions: 23 cm high by 20 cm at the widest.

INCISIONE A PUNTA DI DIAMANTE. The "diamond" engraving tool is not only a technique but the important work of Schiavon grinding department. They give to every Masterpiece the extra touch that makes it definitely unique and unrepeatable, using an extreme precision, wisdom and genius. Special drills with diamond wheels are used. Cutting the glass often discovers some layers of color otherwise invisible. These Masters give expression to the sculptures and a wealth to the vessels. This technique is used on the Black Tribe Collection.
