Wonderful blown glass by the Master artist Claudio Tiozzo for Vetreria Sergio Tiozzo
Made as a
small sphere with an asymmetric decoration, the body with orange, yellow and
black colored canes with a *battuto* finish, in contrast with the bright green
side with a *scavo* finish

The firm of Sergio Tiozzo has been in the glass business since 1952.
It has particulary developed the *Murrina of Murano whose origin goes back to the time of the Phoenicians. The murrina owes its beauty to a very complex process of workmanship which requires many hours of work to succeed. From 1990 the business has been carried by his son Claudio who for some time had bee following in his father s footsteps and taking an interest in the development of one of the oldest processes in glass making.
Claudio
Tiozzo 13 July 1971 is born in Venice.
His
father Sergio Tiozzo is master glassmaker and influences his son's
passion for undertaking his artistic activity. At the
age of fourteen he began his professional training in the family workshop and
in other Murano workshops with the aim of learning as many processing
techniques as possible.
At 16
years he collaborates with the Venini glass factory, specializing in murrina
technique. During
his career he collaborates with important glassworks: Barovier & Toso,
Carlo Nason, La Murrina.His
works of art have been exhibited in important exhibitions both in Italy and
abroad.
Il Maestro is
considered among the most important glass artists, active today.
