This very
nice pocket folding knife was made by the renewed Joseph & Rodgers Cutlery
Company in the early 20th century
JOSEPH
RODGERS swell-end jack with shell handles, marked No. 6 Norfolk St,
Sheffield, England with the star and cross on the back of the tang.
Deep struck Rodgers mark on the spear point blade
The
inscription England indicates being made after 1890
Blade looks
to be in in full profile and close firmly with a very firm snap (some oil would
help for a smoother opening and closing)
Almost no
pitting and no dents
Glossy
genuine shell slabs with brown-red overtones, no damage to note
This folder
measures 8,5cm long when folded and 15 cm when fully extended
