Very interesting folding knife from the second quarter of the 18th century of German production.
Slip joint sheepsfoot blade topped with a handle made of stained horn scales applied with star shaped studs and tiny portraits. Steel bolsters and silver terminals engraved with foliate decorations, spine and liners finely hand file worked
Blade is marked with the maker’s initial letter *J*, l ightly sharpened and with a tiny dent on the edge.
This knife remains in excellent condition considering age and type, blade opens and closes properly with no wobble and there are no damage to the handles. Probably it was part of a set including a matching fork
10 cm folded and 19 cm in fully extended position
