# 4875 / Antique Lock Blade Gentleman Folder with Corkscrew – Chatellerault, Mid to late19th Century

Very nice sturdy French gentleman folder commonly referred to as a *Chatellerault*, referring to the original place where this type of knives were crafted.

Hand forged spare point blade made of carbon steel that remains in very nice condition, still pointy and in full profile.

Locks tightly when opened and features a threated tab to release it from the locked open position

Wonderful mother of pearl slabs over steel liner. Nickel silver bolsters.

A hand forged corkscrew is nestled into a recess on the back of the handle

Overall condition are more than excellent, minor pitting on the steel blade due to time but no damage to note

The knife measures nearly 13,5 cm long when folded and 24,4 cm long in fully extended position
