# 4864 / Antique Guillochè Besset Ivory *Aile de Pigeon* Laguiole Folder

Very nice carved and hand filed ivory handled Laguiole folding knife realized by Besset.

It is characterized by having genuine ivory scales nicely carved in the so called. *AILE DE PIGEON* pattern. They are fixed with three brass pins and are over brass liners,

The spine has been wonderfully hand filed and features the bee locking tab which firstly appeared on a Laguiole knife in 1909.

The carbon steel blade bears the famous Horse head maker’s mark stamped transversally.

It locks up tightly with no wobble at all and it measures 167 mm long when fully extended and 92 mm cm long when folded.

The conditions are amazing, no rust or pitting to the blade and steel parts and no damage to note to the delicate slabs.
