An early 19th cent. 16 blade tortoise shell lobster pattern multiblade knife.
(16) sixteen blades including quill blades, each of a little different construction, with extended ricasso, indicative of early construction.
Each blade appears to be full or about full, with some light grey patina.
Pretty carved and scalloped tortoise shell scales, over matching scalloped hand filed brass liners, with brass pins.
The shell has no noticeable cracks or chips and everything works as it should.
