# 4721 / *FIORENTINO*. Italian traditional Folding Knife

Italy has an ancient tradition in knife making and a great variety in shapes and models with dozens of antique models dedicated to work, defence, and duel. Knives were mostly used by men as multifunctional cutting and piercing tools, to be carried in their pocket and indispensable for all work activities in the fields and with the livestock. Originating in Florence this folder is appreciated as much for its aesthetic value as it is for its cutting ability. It features a peculiar curved and pointy blade known as a French blade with a single rounded cutting edge. Handle is made of horn slabs with no supporting liners and is curved in order to best accommodate the blade. Brass bolsters. The knife is fitted with a simple spring mechanism. Blade is in full profile and still pointy and locks up firmly. No chips or cracks to the slabs. 10 cm folded and 17 cm in fully extended position
