# 4712 / Late 19th century Large Toledo marked Folding Knife Navaja

Antique, handmade large folding knife made in France for the Spanish market in an unusual shape. It is 31 cm closed and 50 cm open. The knife is beautifully constructed using brass bolsters, faux tortoise shell, brass spacers, detailed bone, a fancy nickel/silver shield, and large brass pins. The liners are steel. The bottom bolster in an unusual large shape. The single blade appears lightly used but almost in full profile and has some minor pitting. The front of the blade has fancy etching and is stamped TOLEDO within an ova. The blade has no side or up and down movement when open. Very good snap opening and closing. No chips or cracks.
