# 4667 / Wonderful Art Deco 1930 MORETTI long Matt Millefiori Glass Bead Graduated Necklace Sautoir, Murano Venezia

Ercole Moretti was established in 1911 on the initiative of three brothers, with the intention of producing two classic types of Venetian glass beads: the “Rosetta” and the mosaic *Millefiori*. Right from their very first years in operation, the Morettis developed a production of *millefiori* beads that immediately stood out, and still does, for their even execution as well as their unusual and unmistakable finish. This lovely matt millefiori glass bead graduated sautoir is a wonderful example of the early Moretti work. The center oval bead is 30 mm in length and 20 mm high. It graduates slowly to 7 by 5 mm at the smallest. Each bead is separated by two tiny blue glass beads. The complete necklace is hand knotted without clasp. End to end it meaures 46cm and culd be worn long or short double it around the neck . The level of detail is quite super.
