# 4666 / Antique1940s Pink Venetian rectangular Tube Beads Glass Necklace, Murano

This wonderful antique Venetian Glass necklace is made up with 18 rectangular tube shaped beads made of opaque pink glass worked with a marble like glossy finish. The necklace measures end to end including the clasp about 62 cm (24.4 inches) long. The rectangular tube beads, being artisan lampworked beads, vary some in size and measure on average about 19mm long by about 10mm (3/8 inches) wide. Each barrel is separated by tiny glass beads of the same design of the tube. We estimate these beautiful beads to be from the 19540s. As with all handmade lampwork beads shapes will vary and there may be slight imperfections that are intrinsic to the way the beads were made. The condition is excellent with chips or cracks and all the beads/barrels are intact. The brass barrel screw clasp is vintage and original and it is still gold tone. The brass bead caps have developed a normal darkened patina. Please enlarge and view the photographs as they are an important part of the description.
