These two tone 18kt karat gold drop earrings have an appealing shape and wonderful movement on the ear. Crafted in yellow and rose gold each one has Etruscan style wire with open-work decorations and is set with round brilliant cut diamonds, oval and round cut rubies and cultured pearls. The total diamond carat weight is approximately 0,40ct, rubies are approximately 0,80 ct. The pearl at the top is a Mabè pearl and the one set on the body earring is a freshwater pearl. Total weight of the earrings is 17,20 gram. Each earring measures 5,4 cm x 1,8 cm across. A mabé pearl is actually a cultured blister pearl that is grown differently than other cultured pearls. Instead of being grown inside the body of a mollusc creature, a mabè pearl is grown against the inside of the shell. This allows the mabe pearl to develop a dome shape with a flat back. earrings are for pierced ears and features a safe omega clasp closure. One earring is stamped on omega closure *750* within a lozenge and the other one is impressed with the Italian goldsmith’s makers mark. In wonderful pre-owned condition with no damage to note.
