Originating from Molise, a region situated in the South section of Italy, this particular knife was made much probably for utility purposes with a carved horn handle with no supporting liners. It is part of the large family of "primitive" folding knives, made with two pins one which represents the axis of rotation of the blade; the other - sometimes thinner - serving as a stop for the blade heel when the knife is opened. Blade has a very pronounced curvature towards the tip and the back has been nicely file worked. The knife’s end has been embellished with decorative brass foils fastened by tiny pins. Blade ocks firmly when opened. 11 Cm long when folded and 20 cm in fully extended position. PRICE UPON REQUEST
