Very nice French Quill folding knife dating to the Empire Period 1798-1809. Flattened handles with wonderfully preserved mother of pearls scales over steel liners. The shell with wonderful pink, green and blue over-shadows. Scales inlaid with a silver central shield and two silver discs. Silver bolsters. Three pen blades of different shapes folds onto the bottom end of the knife with a spring loaded scissors is set at the upper end. Scissors open automatically when pops out from the leather etui. All blades with firm snap and the scissors work properly and still has pointy and sharp blades. The knife remains in excellent condition mainly considering age. Steel parts with some normal pitting. No damage to note to the delicate shell scales. The knife comes with its original leather cover. PRICE UPON REQUEST
