This petite lovely miniature mother of pearl shell handled cavalier knife was made in Chatellerault in the mid 19th century. It features a main clip point blade, a secondary shape foot shaped blade and a saw folding on end while a corkscrew, a screwdriver and a nipple wrench fold onto the spine and are nestled in a recess carved into the handles. A tiny horse hoof cleaner scraper complete the knife. Handles are wonderfully preserved mother of pearl shell fastened with two tiny rivets. The upper bolster is made of nickel silver and is in the classic Chatellerault shape. Perfect working condition, all blades/tools snap firmly and open and close smoothly. Minor pitting due to age. No damage to note to the shell handles. 2,5 cm long including the bail, 2,2 without it. PRICE UPON REQUEST
